BUSINESS ANALYST
Position Available
Zenith Technology Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst in Washington, DC to support our agile development practice focusing on U.S. Government sector clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background developing functional requirements, conducting business analysis, and problem-solving for complex business systems or environments. Must be a detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies. Experience with more recent/modern languages, tools, methodologies and concepts are a must. Must be driven and focused on improving your skills. The salary will be based on experience and education.
This scope of this project will involve:
Requirements Gathering;
Interface Development/Maintenance;
Workflow Development; Integration/Automated Testing/QA;
Application and System level designs modifications as per security requirements;
Secure web service development to interface with other systems;
Development, Modernization and Enhancement (DM&E) activities;
Documentation;
Review and feedback on the existing technical architecture and suggestion of updates and modification if required; and
Supplemental Task Support, as required.
Example of Duties
Elicits requirements using interviews, process and document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Documents and defines application and/or system requirements and priorities with the customer and ensures that day-to-day project requirements are met
Develops application and/or system and programming specifications
Designs solutions based on business needs and technical considerations
Researches and resolves application production problems
Conducts complex documentation and user requirements/needs analysis
Studies customer environment by analyzing job tasks, organization structure and user requirements to propose system-wide solutions.

Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and customers.
Oversees, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work.
Is able to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors.
Has previous experience working with developers.
Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, JavaScript, etc.)
Provides respectful feedback and escalates problems when necessary.
Analyzes/Identifies areas of risk and develops plans to minimize/mitigate risk.
Seeks opportunities to develop professional skills.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical field and one (1) year of IT experience working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle, or
At least two (2) years of It experience and education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related or scientific or technical field with hands-on experience in all aspects of the SDLC.
